Services
Home With Hope employs a social model for recovery. Our community re-integration concept consists of:
- peer review and accountability through weekly community meetings and house meetings
- relapse prevention programs
- Thinking for a Change classes
- staff support and case management, as needed
- strict structure, monitoring, accountability
- random drug and alcohol monitoring by staff
- "Community System" used for giving positive recognition for accomplishments and consequences for guideline violations
- Zero tolerance for possession or use of drugs or alcohol, for acts of violence, or for further law violations at our facilities
- monitoring of daily 12-step meeting attendance for first 90 days, then at least three weekly (includes finding a sponsor and a "home group" within the first 30 days)
- twice a week pharmacy clinics with Purdue Pharmacy interns
- three times a week Riggs Community Health Clinic nurses and referrals for further medical care, eye exams and glasses, and routine dental work
- test for HIV and Hepatitis C by Planned Parenthood
- monthly classes by Planned Parenthood
- weekly women's support groups
- life skills classes by Purdue Pharmacy and Nursing students
- a "big brother" or "big sister" assigned to every new client
- progress/violation reports for referring courts and agencies
Home with Hope has a minimum stay of 90-days, with an average stay of 4 - 6 months.
-
Clients may remain in the program even longer depending upon their needs and the requirements of referral courts and agencies.
-
Successful completion is not based on the length of time a client is here but on their progress and compliance, as evaluated by the staff.
-
If a client leaves the program without permission of the staff, they will be discharged unsuccessfully and their referring court or agency will be notified immediately.
A weekly service fee of $130 is charged to each client in our men's and women's facilities to assist them in learning to take responsibility and become self-sufficient. Once a client is moved to our transitional apartments, the service fee increases to $140 a week.
-
It is strongly encouraged that clients pay the first two weeks of service fees upon admission. These fees are also the primary support for our agency's continued operations.
-
Most of our clients are indigent when they come into the program, but they are required to actively seek and maintain gainful employment (unless they are disabled and receive disability payments) in order to pay service fees and meet other court and child support obligations.
Upon admission, all clients must immediately become active in the 12-step program (attending a meeting daily, finding a sponsor and a home group, and actively begin working the 12-steps)
Once clients become employed and active in their recoveries, this starts their process of reintegration into the community as responsible, independent, and productive members of society.

Day Reporting
We also have a Day Reporting (after-care) phase for our local clients who have completed the other phases. Once a client has been successful with the residential portion of the program, they are able to move to independent living, but they continue to be monitored by our staff. This monitoring includes: reporting daily, random drug screens, case management, home visits, and monitoring 12-step attendance and work schedules. There is a $40 a week service fee for this phase. Once Day Reporting has been completed (usually within 90 days), the client will graduate from the Home with Hope program with a successful completion certificate. For clients from out of the Tippecanoe County area who plan to return to their home counties upon completion, this phase is not required to graduate.
